Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his role in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, it is his characters on the small screen that brought him fame and a large admirers. It is no surprise that the actor has managed to grab people's attention with his characters that are either one side of the legal system. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played an infamous serial killer. Then, he played the character of an NYPD investigator. The actor has been nominated several times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his smaller screen performance. He is known by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles. He was featured in 2006 when he appeared on People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
